This past week I worked on In the Garden.  I just love this one.  I am tempted to keep working on it over the long weekend.

We have had beautiful weather!  A little hot which means my grass is not growing.  (no rain either).  No big plans for the Holiday weekend.

Here are my orts.  Lots of golds from Autumn Angel and light blues from Butterfly Fairy.

And here is my progress on Butterfly Fairy Day.  Finished another corner and started on the bottom right corner.

My baby birds have all flown away.  I have discovered chipmunks living in my garage.  I need to evict them this week.

I attended the Spring Festival fundraiser for the youth group at my brother's church.  I had lunch and watched a talent show.  All of my nieces and nephews took part (9 of them).  They are not shy.

Today I need to take my son to the art museum as he has a report to do.

I worked on Autumn Angel by Joan Elliott this week.  I have the top all done and I now just need to finish the bottom of her dress.  There is also alot of beads that need to be put on before it will be finished.  But it will definitely get done this year.
I have a robin's nest at my house.  They have 3 baby birds.  This is the first time I have seen baby birds up close.  They hatched Wednesday and are just now starting to make peeping noises.  At first their bald heads would pop up with their mouths wide open.  It was like watching a puppet show.

WIPocalypse

Since the last WIPocalypse update I started Bee Busy.
I worked on Butterfly Fairy Day.
I finished page 1 of Little Fairies at Play!  7,840 stitches complete and only 27 pages left!  Whoo Hoo.  I would like to get another page finished this year and a good start on the 3rd page.
I also worked on In the Garden.
And yesterday my daughter and her finance graduated from college.  I spent the day with them helping them move into their new apt.  Every week it seems like I am busy doing other things and stitching time is hard to find.  I stayed up last night until 1am to finish my page on Little Fairies at Play.

I continued working on Bee Busy this week.  I will now go back to the next project in my rotation as soon as I figure out which one it is.
And here is the latest jigsaw puzzle I finished.  It was from a photo of Diane Phalen.  I know I have a chart of hers in my stash to stitch someday.

Weather is supposed to be sunny today.  I need to get out and do my yardwork as there is more rain ahead for the week.  On Saturday I will be going to see my daughter graduate from college.  She has a job lined up not too far from college and hopefully will be moving into her apartment next Saturday also.  I have been so busy that I have not had time to read any books lately.  But life is good and I am very happy being busy.

I saw this posted on the Twisted Stitcher's blog.  It it is what I am working towards.  Learning to respect and love myself and move forward with my life in a positive way.  I have a long way to go before I will be ready or able to share my life again with someone else.  But I wanted to be able to see these words whenever I need a reminder of the course I am on.

"I can't be all things to all people and I deserve to be treated as I wish to be treated. I try to always treat others as I wish to be treated (try being the operative word). I must remember, I'm not a dog begging for leftovers from the table. I deserve to eat from the banquet too."

Vonna's words spoke to me.

Progress on In The Garden as of 4/21/12.  I love the colors in this one.
Here are my orts for the TUSAL.  Need to tamp them down to start off the new month.
I had a new start Saturday while traveling by bus to Louisville KY for Thunder over Louisville.  It is Bee Busy from Cross Country Stitching April 2012.  Not alot done but a start.
And here is a picture of some of the fireworks at Thunder Over Louisville.  They were awesome.  It is the largest fireworks show in the US.  During the day there was also an air show.  The stealth bomber flew by and a Harrier did a demonstration just to name a few of the planes that flew in the air show.  Weather was chilly but we had a good time.
