March WIPocalypse

Question of the Month:  Which of your current WIPs do you consider your most difficult piece to stitch?

I don't really have any difficult pieces to stitch.  Just finding the time is the most difficult part.

Here is what I stitched on this month:

Working on the 4th owl face.

Jolly Snowman I worked on this one quite a few times this month.

Suncatchers worked on filling in background to try and get page 1 finished.

Queen of the Sea finished the tail and back to adding more scales.

Autumn Sampler still working on the center motif.  Grapes and leaves full of quarter stitches.

Harvest Corn finished the border and starting on the inside.

For the Magazine Monthly Challenge Group they had a pop up event Spring into Action.  You had to put in 500 stitches or 5 hours in your project closest to a finish.  I picked Owl #10 put in 890 stitches and finished it.  I have also added my great niece's name and birthdate.

Southern Magnolia I added some more leaves.  Getting ready to move to the next page.

 I finished Country Birds.

First cat done on Funky Cats.

QS Porthole of Fantasy working on page 4

Added more stitches to Stock Car #3.  This one could be my next finish

Princess & the Dragon.  Finished her body moving up to her head.  I already have my next Wentzler picked out for when this one is finished

Summer Pig finished his flannel shirt

QS Magic Island I finished page 9.  Did this page in a month and a half.  It went quickly because it was mostly large blocks of background.  Page 10 is a partial page and will also go quickly because it is mostly background.

March was a good stitching month for me.  I got more stitches in than I did in January.  April brings with it the start of out door yard work and camping with 2 trips scheduled.  My smaller projects might get more work on them as they travel better.

I found this kit while out at the antique mall.  It had the pattern and fabric.  I pulled my own floss.  It comes with a pretty blue 16ct aida.  The directions call for different number of strands to be used.  One color calls for 9 strands to be used.  I think I will start with 2 strands and if the colors do not show up well move up to 4 strands.  Not sure I could get 9 strands to go thru on 16ct.
