November WIPocalypse

Garden of Faith Hope and Love
Little Fairies at Play

I only worked on 2 projects since the last full moon.  I finished page 7 on Little Fairies at Play.  I joined the facebook HAED group and they have a challenge going to stitch 400 stitches by 11/28/15 on a HAED project.  Since I had just finished a page I thought this would give me a good start on page 8.  I have 3 more days to put some more stitches in.   Then I will go back to my regular rotation.

This month we are to answer the question which designer has inspired us to stitch the most designs and why.  I think the designer for me would be Joan Elliott.  The first design of hers that I stitched was Angel of Cross Stitch. It took me 4 years.

I also did Autumn Angel, the Sewing Room, Happy Girl (from a magazine and the design had no name) and Seed Packets by Joan Elliott.  I have alot more of her designs in my stash.  I think I like the colors she uses and the faces on her people.

I forgot to mention that I have a Joan Elliott in my rotation now - Freedom.

I worked on Garden of Faith, Hope and Love last week.  It is moving right along.  I am back to Little Fairies at Play this week.  Page 8 has alot of solid stitching near the bottom.  Hope to make alot of progress before I hit the confetti.

After my page finish I continued to work on Little Fairies at Play.  I got a decent start on page 8.  The bottom half does not have much  confetti stitching.  So I should move right along.
Last week I took a day off and we went to the National Military History Center and Automotive & Carriage Museum in Auburn IN.  We spent the morning there, had some lunch and took a walk in Meta County Park.  The weather was sunny and in the mid 70's.
And last night we celebrated my brother's 50th birthday.  We bobbed for apples.  The kids had never bobbed for apples.  This is my brother showing them how it is done.  They youngest - Anna age 6 - was the only one to successfully get an apple.  Everyone else got their apple a unique way.

Somehow I hurt my achilles tendon.  I  am going to rest it today (stitching time) and Wednesday I will go back out to finish raking my leaves.
