The question this month is checking in to see how we are doing with our six month progress.
My main goal for 2020 was to finish Little Fairies at Play. I did that in May and I now have it back from the framer and hanging up in my bedroom
I also wanted to finish up Faces of Faery 90. I pulled it out from time out and frogged out all of the black I had in the wrong spot (about 400 stitches). I did move forward stitching on this one. I am going to work on it each month with the hope of finishing by the end of 2020.
I worked some more on Crane Paradise my new start in May
Then I pulled out Butterfly Fairy Night and gave it some attention
I continued working on the Weekends on Dandelion Fairy Kingdom and hope to finish page 3 in July
And then I had a new start for my Birthday Toadally Romantic. Here is what it will look like when done
And here is where I got to
Here are my Orts
I did get some stash when I picked up my framing
I was going to make this one my Birthday Start but I am still thinking about the floss colors. Maybe I will start it in July.
I was at Michaels and found this frame for $6. It is an 8x10. I went thru my finished pieces and found that most of my finishes are larger than 8x10. This one fit so I laced and framed it myself. It is a little crooked but the lacing is tight and wrinkle free so I didn't want to undo it.
So far in 2020 I have managed to stitch on all of my WIPs at least once.
I am also teaching my new nephew in law to stitch.
Thats about it for this month.

WIPocalypse May
I participated in Stitch Maynia this year. I decided I wanted to finish Little Fairies at Play. I had 2 partial pages left. So I only worked on Little Fairies at Play until I finished it. Here is my finished Little Fairies at Play. Started 11/13/11 and finished on 5/21/20. Stitched on 14 count white aida full cross stitch 2 threads over one. 8 years, 6 months and 8 days. I have already taken it to my LNS for framing.
Since I posted in April I still had a few more days left in April and I continued to stitch on Freedom by Joan Elliott. Here is where I ended in April
After Finishing up Little Fairies at Play I went back to stitching on Dandelion Fairy Kingdom and here is where I finished yesterday:
Working on page 3. I put this one on my scroll rods after taking off Little Fairies at Play.
I did start a new project on 5/24/20. Crane Paradise by Pinn. I have had this one in my stash for a while. I am stitching it on 14 ct Platinum. I stitched on it for one day and here is where I got to:
And this is what it will look like when it is finished:
I think I am going to leave off the Chinese Characters.
These are my orts as of 5/30/20
June is my birthday month and I have several more projects kitted up. I might start a few more.

WIPocalypse April
Another month with alot of stitching. It must be the Stay at Home order.
Here is what I worked on:
Dandelion Fairy Kingdom finished age 2 and started on page 3.
Little Fairies at Play finished page 22.
Freedom finished the O and started on the M. I will keep stitching on this one for the rest of April.
Harvest. I started another bunch of grapes on the left.
Jingle Pals Santa. I finished this ornament.
Orts time to tamp them down again.
This month's question is what is your oldest WIP. It is Little Fairies at Play started in November 2011. I only have 2 pages left to complete this one. For May I am only going to stitch on this project and hope to finish the last 2 pages.

WIPocalypse March
Another good month of stitching. We did go to Florida for a week to visit my mother-in-law. So I had a week of no stitching. Here are my progress pictures:
Little Fairies at Play finished page 21 2,926 stitches. 3 more partial pages to go and it will be done. I hope to have it finished by June.
Dandelion Fairy Kingdom another 2,006 stitches on page 2. I should finish up page 2 in April. I am using this piece for my 20,000 stitches in 2020 on Full Coverage Fanatics.
Jingle Bell Pals - I worked on this on Friday while I was taking an on line class. Getting closer to a finish.
I finished this on 3/4/20 from the Home for the Holidays leaflet by Sue Hillis
I made a trip to my local LNS last Saturday while the stores were all open. I picked up more patterns for my stash:
I picked this one to remind me of my trip to Florida. We saw alot of beautiful Flamingos.
I saw this one in the discount box and thought of my friend Katie. I remember her stitching this one on "big girl" fabric.
And I had to get this one as it seemed to go with the Heron.
Love gnomes. My LNS had this one on their facebook page.
Another Gnome. When I got home with this leaflet I found I had two copies of it. I checked my receipt and I was charged for both copies. So I am giving the second copy away Just leave a comment saying you want to stitch the Gnomes with your email address. I will pick a winner on 4/28/20
This one jumped into my hands.
And another one that reminds me of our Florida vacation.
This month's WIPocalypse question is:
Have you ever adopted a piece from someone else or gave up a piece to someone else? Which piece and why? Many years ago one of my co-workers asked me to finish stitching a piece she had started - Guardian Angel. I did finish it and gave it back to her.

WIPocalypse February
This was another good stitching month for me. Here is what I worked on:
Dandelion Fairy Kingdom I did 2,112 stitches towards my 20,000 stitch challenge.
Little Fairies at Play I finished page 20 which was 2,926 stitches
Orts for the month of February
I started a new project in January from the Home for the Holidays leaflet by Sue Hillis. I have been working on it again this last week of February. I might get it finished up tonight as there is not much left to stitch.
Question of the Month: In honor of “Leap Year,” tell the story of a time you had to make some sort of a “leap” in stitching – taking the chance on a new style of stitching, attending a meetup or class, etc. I was in my local EGA chapter and the group did a class piece that was a sampler with lots of different techniques. I forged ahead with it and sent it off to the class teacher for evaluation. I did ok but it was not my cup of tea.
I did get some stash this month from my local lns.
A small Jim Shore kit- Frog Egg.
Another Sue Hillis pattern Hello Autumn
An Owl ornament that I have had my eye on.
Two pieces of fabric. The one on the left I am going to use for Hello Autumn
And some floss for different projects.
March will be a challenge as I will be gone for a week visiting the in-laws. I will not be taking my two big projects with me - Dandelion Fairy Kingdom or Little Fairies at Play. So I will have to hustle to get my stitches in them. I will pick one of my smaller projects to take with me.
Dandelion Fairy Kingdom I did 2,112 stitches towards my 20,000 stitch challenge.

January WIPocalypse
January was a good stitching month for me. When it is cold out I don't need any excuse to spend time stitching. As the weather gets nicer, I will struggle to make time to stitch.
Dandelion Fairy Kingdom I started on page 2. I am using this piece for the 20,000 stitches in 2020 at Full Coverage Fanatics. I put in 2,102 stitches in January. On target to reach 20,000 by the end of the year.
Faces of Faery 90. I finished up page 3 and started on page 4. Two full pages and one partial page and this one will be done. I had hoped to finish it in 2020 as a bonus finish. But I got off count on page 4 and I need to rip out that large blob of black under the orange. I had stitched 966 stitches in January and need to rip out about 500. I am disgusted with my self and will put this one in time out until I am ready to rip out the stitches and move on. I have plenty of other projects to work on.
Little Fairies at Play. It was my personal goal to finish this one in 2020. I had 6 partial pages to stitch to finish it. I thought they would be much smaller pages. I did finish page 19 in January for a total of 3,040 stitches. I will really have to push to get a page finish each month on this one. Page 19 had alot of large blocks of color so it went pretty fast.
I worked on Jingle Bell Pals for 2 hrs during a class I took (helps me to stay awake during the lecture). 223 stitches. I am going to try and track my stitches for each project I work on in 2020 along with my hours.
For January I have a total of 6,331 stitches completed with 6 more days to go. I am not sure what project I will work on for the next 6 days.
And here are my orts so far for January.
As part of WIPOCALYPSE Measi also asks us a monthly question. This month we are to share what SAL's we are participating in for 2020.
Besides WIPOCALYPSE I am participating in 20,000 stitches in 2020 as part of the Full Coverage Fanatics facebook group. I am also participating in their National Park challenge where you need to complete 4,000 stitches on your chosen project to move onto the next National Park. I am using Dandlelion Fairy Kingdom for this challenge also and hope to complete my first park by the end of February.
That was my month. I feel like I accomplished alot. Only one missed day of stitching so far.
I have been watching Tranquil Stitches pick from her stash for her Maynia starts. I now have the urge to rummage thru my charts and get some kitted up.

WIPocalypse 2020
I have participated in Wipocalypse since 2012. I enjoy seeing everyones progress and watching my progress.
I work full time, spend time with my father in the nursing home and working on remodeling our house with my new husband. I never have enough time to do what I need/want to do.
I tend to stitch large and/or full coverage pieces. I don't get alot of finishes as I am a slow stitcher.
I have more stash than I will ever be able to do in a lifetime. I usually just buy more floss and fabric for my projects.
For 2020 I want to stitch every day, finish Little Fairies at Play and stitch 20,000 stitches. Finishing Faces of Faery 90 would be a bonus.
I have several projects kitted and might add a new start for 2020.
I have updated my Wipocalypse 2020 page with starting photos of each of my projects.
