I worked this week on Little Fairies at Play. The butterfly was full of confetti stitches and took forever to complete. I am now working on a section with alot of solid color. I will move my scroll rods next time I pull this one out. Over half way done with page 3. I have completed 19,726 stitches.
Getting back into my rotation and looking forward to the next project up - Cat Cushion. Hope to start stitching on that tonight while watching some tv.
I did complete my goal of walking 250 miles by 6/1. Weight loss - I lost another 2 lbs for a total of 32lbs. I am down 3 sizes in pants. I still need to lose 4lbs to reach the weight I should be at for my height. If that doesn't happen I am ok as I just want to maintain my weight.
Today I am going on a 13 mile hike with my sister. We are breaking in our gear for hiking the Grand Canyon in July. This trip has been a big motivator in my weight loss and exercising. I don't want them to look at me and say this old lady cannot hike the Grand Canyon! I will be 50 in a few weeks and I feel the best I have in years.

What an amazing weight loss Cathy, you should be really proud of yourself and I’m sure you’re going to enjoy your trip to the Grand Canyon.. I went there a few years back…..didn’t hike mind you, just viewed from the rim, but it’s just amazing and I would love to go back one day.
I know lots of people say that stitching stops them from eating but it doesn’t in my case. I managed to lose 2 stone last year but have succeeded to put it all back on and more so maybe you’ll be an inspiration to me and when I get back from my holiday to Spain next week I’ll get back on the waggon and try again.
Your stitching is coming along very nicely but it’s scary when you start counting stitches and realise how may you’ve done and still have to do.
I’m just about to start on a birth sampler for my god daughters first child, so next week I’ll be sitting in the sunshine stitching by the pool, with a large glass of Sangria close to hand!
Happy Stitching!
Sue
