The WIPocalypse question this month is What new stitches or techniques did you learn this year? I have not learned any new stitches or techniques this year.
In September I participated in ABCingo put on by the Magazine Monthly Cross Stitch group. 25 calls were made and I stitched on 12 different projects. I did get 2 bingos. I made lots of progress on some of the projects that were called multiple times. Here is what was worked on:
Princess & the Dragon at the start of ABCingo
And at the end of ABCingo. All of the cross stitching is finished and I have started on the backstitching. Then will come the beads. I will have this one done before the end of the year.Moonlight Laguna Mermaid at the start of ABCingo
It was called 3 times for ABCingoSuncatchers at the start of ABCingo
Southern Magnolias at the start of ABCingo
It was worked on twice during ABCingo.
Follow Mum before ABCingo
After ABCingo
Harvest Corn at the start of ABCingo
And after ABCingo
At the end of ABCingo
QS Porthole of Fantasy at the start of ABCingo. Still needed a little to finish page 5
Finished page 5 and started on page 6. End is in sight
Homestead Harvest progress was made
QS Magic Island was worked on and I finished page 12.
And I made a start on page 13
I also worked on the following projects that were not part of ABCingo:
Owl Faces I finished face 5 and started on face 6
Funky Cats working on the second cat still and will be for some timeSummer Pig got some work done on it
There was one new start on my ABCingo board but it did not get called. I think I will wait to January to start it and other new starts. I have found that I like kitting up projects and the comfort of stitching on my existing WIPs. I enjoy new projects once they are started but getting them going puts me off.
September was a slower stitching month for me. We went camping twice and I am preparing for my mother in law to stay with us in October.
