April WIPocalypse

This month's question that Measi gives us for WIPocalypse is: What is your oldest WIP? Tell us a little bit about it.

My oldest wip is Jolly Snowman by Joan Elliott.  It is from Cross Stitch Gold December 2010.  I started this project on 12/26/21. This is what it will look like finished.

I do want to get this one finished in 2026 and have been stitching on it each month.  Here is where I got to this month

Magazine Monthly Challenge Group had an April pop up challenge Fools Gold pop up challenge.  You were to stitch on a piece that had bling - beads, krenik, sparkly fabric and stitch either 5 hours or 500 stitches.  I used Moonlight Laguna Mermaid which has alot of beads and added 917 stitches

I also worked on the following projects:

Stock Car #3 and I finished it

Harvest Corn by Mill Hill.  Plugging along

Summer Pig starting on the head

Gnomes worked some more on the 3rd gnome

Queen of the Sea working on finishing the fish body.

Suncatchers I think I have finished this page.

Owl Faces still working on face #4

Southern Magnolias Swag II finished page 1 (which was a small partial page) and started on page 2

Princess & the Dragon.  I am trying to work on this one each weekend.  I would like to finish it this year.  But it is slow going with alot of color changes.

QS Magic Island I finished page 10 which was a partial page with lots of background.

QS Porthole of Fantasy.  I finished page 4.  One full page and one partial page left.  I should be able to finish this one this year.

Autumn Sampler worked on this one 3 times this month.  There is alot of backstitching on this project.

Funky Cat 1st cat is done.  Will start on Cat #2 in May

I feel I made alot of good progress on my WIPs in April.  But my total stitch count is down from previous months.

Camping season is starting and I will be starting a new camping piece Pig Teapot.  Will post my start and progress in May

Also in May I will be participating in SPRINGO with the Magazine Monthly Cross Stitch group
