This past week I worked on Freight Train. I have completed one train car! The week before I was working on Happy Girl and made alot of progress. I stitched every night while watching the Olympics. I really enjoyed the Olympics this year. Canada did a great job of putting them on. I think it was more enjoyable since we are close in time zones. When they are hosted by a country on the other side of the world, events are happening while we are sleeping and you hear the results before you can watch them on tv. I try not to listen to the results before I can watch the competition. Looking forward to the Summer Games in 2012.

My DD is home for spring break this week and it is my DS birthday on Monday. The weather is finally warming up so stitching might slow down.

This past week I stitched on Abecedaire and made alot of progress. I have been watching the Olympics every night. Friday night as I was sitting down to eat supper my DD called from college. She has bronchitis and wanted to come home. So I drove down to Muncie and picked her up. No stitching (or Olympics Friday night ) as I didn't get home til after midnight.

My DD brought me the frog box pictured above. It was full of chocolate covered animal crackers. Very tasty. I am now using the box to put my orts in. I will show a picture of the inside when I get more orts.

After a weekend of resting and taking her medicine DD is feeling better. My husband will be taking DD back to college Monday morning. Her roomate had bronchitis a few weeks ago. Sounds like alot of the kids have it down there. I think the bronchitis went thru the college and not the H1N1.

Here is my progress on Day. I had lots of stitching time this past week, starting with the Superbowl and ending with the Olympics.

Stitching will continue this week as I watch more of the Olympics. Hope to accomplish quite a bit on Abcedaire.

I won these marshmallow frogs playing bingo at work. I thought they were too cute to eat. I collect frogs and decided it would be better to keep a picture of them. I will let my son eat them so they don't go bad.

Taxes and the FASFA are both done. So I feel like I accomplished alot.

We did get snow this week. About 4 inches. The schools were closed two days based on the forecast which as usual was not as bad as they made it sound. I did make it to work all week even though I was tempted to call in so I could stay home and stitch.

Here is my progress on Freight Train. Did not get to stitch every day but I did make some progress. I wanted to have my taxes done yesterday so I could stitch all day today. Instead I did laundry and grocery shopping. Hope to do the taxes today and still have time to stitch.

Stitching Update

Here is my progress on Happy Girl. I only stitched one night this past week. Not much progress but better than nothing.

In response to one of the comments from my last post - No I did not buy any chocolate. It is much more expensive there than here at the grocery store. You would think it would be cheaper since it is made right there. They do give you a full size Hershey Bar when you check in. They also leave 4 Hershey Kisses in your room each night. So I did score some free chocolate. The soap, shampoo and conditioner in the room is all chocolate scented. Makes you hungry to take a shower.

My project for this week to is do my taxes. I have everything ready to go just need to download a few forms.

I am stitching on Freight Train this week. I had a nice quiet afternoon of stitching and watching House Wives of Orange County and RuPaul's Drag Queen Race. Really top of the line entertainment. I like to stitch to something that does not require my full attention. Since I had control of the remote that is what I had on.

I spent 5 days this past week in Hershey Pa. I was attending a trade show. For two days I stood from 10:30 am - 4pm in my booth smiling at everyone and handing out information. The most exciting part of the day was watching the Monkey Man across the way. His monkey was very well behaved. Each day he would have to go and change the Monkey's diaper. I got to tell everyone he would be back as soon as he was done freshening up his monkey.

I have often wished to have the time to do whatever I wanted to do. And this week I got my wish. After 4pm each day I was on my own. I ate supper and was back in my room by 5:30 every night. I had total control of the tv remote. I did take my stitching with me and got in 6 - 7 hrs a day of stitching. After 2 days of this I dreaded going back to my room. Can you believe I didn't want any more stitching time? Saturday the trade show ended at noon. I had even more time on my hands. I found different places to sit around the hotel and read my book until supper time. Then again after supper I went back to my room and stitched. You would think that I would have made more progress with all of the un-interrupted stitching time.

I have often wished that I would not have my DH bugging me when I was trying to stitch or read. It was very lonely eating alone every day. As much as he does bug me, I guess I will keep him around and every once in a while try to be by myself so I can appreciate being with my DH again.

I am back home now and have my stitching chair back. I hope to get back to my rotation. I took Monday off so I could do all of the laundry.

Here is my progress on Abecedaire. Didn't get too much stitching time but I have almost finished part 1.

We celebrated Christmas with both sides of the family. Very enjoyable. My daughter will be here for another week before returning to college. January marks the start of working full weeks. I haven't worked a full week since mid August as I was using up vacation time.
