February WIPocalypse

 The WIPocalypse question of the month is: Question of the Month:  What stitch-a-longs (SALs) are you participating in this year?  I am not participating in any SALs this year.  I do enjoy seeing others progress in their SALs.  There is such a wide variety of stitch alongs.

This month I got off to a slow start.  I think I stitched too much in January with all of the cold and snowy weather.  It did warm up a bit in February.  So here is what I stitched on in February:

 

 Stock Car #3.  This one shows the fabric color.  I do need to use magnification which gives me a headache so I only stitch for an hour at a time.  It is nearing the finish line.

 

Country Birds I added more leaves and another bird.  A few more flowers and some backstitching and this one will be done.

Jolly Snowman  I worked on this one quite a bit this month.  It is a focus on a finish project for this year.

 

Owl #10.  My new great niece was born 2/12/26.  I will try to finish this one up in March as I have a feeling another baby announcement is coming.

Princess & the Dragon is also another focus on a finish piece.  It is slow going with blends and quarter stitches.  I am stitching this on 14ct aida and using a sharp needle.

 

Second turtle is done.  working on some background and log so I can move onto the next page.

 Autumn Sampler working on the center motif.  It is slow going stitching the grapes and leaves.  So I took a break and worked on the plaid area next to the cherries.  Backstitching will bring this piece to life.

Funky Cats  I am almost finished with the first Cat.  2 more to go and lots of border.

 Summer Pig I added more stitches.  Still can't tell what it is.

Froggie kit that I bought for  fifty cents was finished.  I popped it into the small plastic frame that came in the kit.  First finish of 2026.

And here is the progress on my two full coverage projects:

QS Porthole of Fantasy finished page 3 and got a good start on page 4.  Only six pages in total.  Would be nice to finish this one this year.

 

QS Magic Island finished page 8 and started on page 9.  Lots of background on this page.  This one will be a few more years before it is finished.  Total of 30 pages.

I had 3 projects I did not stitch on this month.  Maybe I will try to work on them in March.
